The barcode reader can be used by any visitor to sign in and out, using the QR code in the bottom right-hand corner of their paper badge.
The reader is always on, and you can test whether it’s active by running a hand under the unit – under the area marked ‘Scan Badge Here’. You should see a white blinking light and the red light of the laser.
If the reader becomes inactive, restart the unit and test it again. If it’s having trouble reading specific barcodes, make a note of what process you followed immediately before the error and contact a member of the VisiPoint support team on + 44 (0) 191 341 0016.
